Elif Erişen
Prof. Dr. Elif Erişen is a Professor of Public Administration and Political Science at Yeditepe University. She holds a B.A. and a dual degree in Political Science and Business Administration from Boğaziçi University, an M.Sc. in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Her research centers on political psychology, political behavior, misinformation, populism, and European integration, with a particular focus on how emotions, identity, and social networks shape political attitudes. She is the Principal Investigator of the Social VR Lab and leads multiple funded projects, including a TÜBİTAK–NRF bilateral project on countering misinformation (CREDIBLE) and a TÜBİTAK 1001 project on the behavioral foundations of immigrant acculturation. Her work has appeared in leading journals including Political Psychology, Journal of Common Market Studies, European Union Politics, and American Politics Research. She is a member of the American Political Science Association and the International Society of Political Psychology.
