Cengiz Erişen
Prof. Dr. Cengiz Erişen is a Professor of Political Science at Yeditepe University, where he also serves as Department Chair. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, specializing in political psychology and the role of emotions in political thinking. His research explores the psychological foundations of political behavior, including populism, misinformation, immigration attitudes, and conspiracy beliefs, with a comparative focus on Turkey, Europe, and the United States. He has authored and edited several books published by Oxford University Press, Palgrave, and Routledge, and his work has appeared in leading journals such as Political Psychology, American Behavioral Scientist, and Journal of European Public Policy. He is a recipient of the APSA Distinguished Junior Scholar Award, TÜBİTAK Incentive Award, and the TÜBA GEBIP and Bilim Akademisi BAGEP awards.
